The British Association of Beauty Therapists and Cosmetology (BABTAC) recently surveyed 2,844 British women who were aged from 18 – 73 years old. The survey was created by BABTAC with the objective to find out the top 10 beauty trends in Britain over the last decade from 1995 to 2015.

Respondents of the survey were able to submit their own answers or select multiple answers from a list of beauty trends provided.

As you can see below, the most glamorous of trends came out on top. This is most likely due to the inspiration and constant media attention of certain celebrities who have a strong social media following and large media coverage such as the Kardashians and supermodels such as Cara Delevingne.

1. Heavy eyebrows (67%)
2. Contouring (63%)
3. Dark ‘Berry’ Lips (51%)
4. Pin-up red lips (48%)
5. Smoky eyes (47%)
6. Winged eyeliner (41%)
7. Glossy lips (39%)
8. Nude lips (24%)
9. Pencilled beauty spots (16%)
10. Natural look (15%)
