8 Steps to Beautiful Defined Brows
Brows, brows, brows…
Bold and beautiful defined brows have been around for a little while now, gone are the days of the extreme over plucking, wispy thin line brows…do you remember this? this was certainly the trend when I was in high school! I have to say, looking back…brows weren’t really much of an art form used to shape your face as they are today. there wasn’t really as much of a focus on them.
There are many clever tip, tricks and amazing products available on the market today! From brow boosters to help grow your brows quicker and thicker, brow pencils, gels and powders to fill in brows, brow gels to hold your brows set and on point all day long and brow highlighter and concealers for the upper and lower of your brow to highlight and contour, illuminate and define to make your brows pop, are all but some of the types of products available today. There are many brow products within the beauty market today and even some specialty brow brands including Billion Bollar Brows and HD Brows.
At forever beaux HQ we LOVE all things brows and understand the importance of beautiful defined brows! We currently stock a great range of brow products from ARTDECO, Billion Dollar Brows and TWEEZERMAN and have a dedicated brows page of all the eyebrow products we currently stock from all brands stocked.
Why define your brows?
1. Gives your face an instant lift with defined brow arches
2. Helps to make you appear more youthful
3. Helps to frame your eyes and face
8 steps to beautiful defined brows
I am going to show you an 8 step process to beautiful defined brows using TWEEZERMAN and Billion Dollar Brows products and tools. Below you can see the before and after images…keep scrolling down to see the step by step process of how I achieved these brows.
Step 1
Personally I leave the plucking, waxing, threading etc. to my beauty therapist where I visit every 4 weeks at Beauty FX in Wilmslow for a HD brows treatment. I certainly trust the beautician over myself when it comes to keeping my brows neat, so my recommendation would always be to visit a qualified beauty therapist who is trained in brows.
Alternatively, if you trust yourself (unlike me), the award winning brand, TWEEZERMAN have an amazing range of tweezers that don’t snap your brow hairs in half like many tweezers tend to do. The TWEEZERMAN tweezers grab hold of each brow hair firmly using their expertly hand filed tips and precise alignment.

At forever beaux, we do stock Billion Dollar Brow Tweezers, however, I haven’t used these so I can’t give my personal view on these. Maybe that will be for another blog post…!

Step 2
Brush through brows with a spoolie brush in the direction of the hair growth so you can clearly see the outline of your brow shape. I tend to brush the front section up and then across at the top.
The spoolie brush I use is by Billion Dollar Brows, which you can see below in Step 3.
Step 3
Using a powder (or pencil) in your selected shade and an angled brush (if using powder) like the Billion Dollar Brows products pictured below, outline the brow by drawing a line on the bottom and top of your brows. If you want to block your brows, line the front too, however, if you want a more natural and gradient effect to your brows, don’t line the front vertical part of your brows.

Step 4
Using the powder or pencil, fill in the entire brow as light or heavy as you wish. Here I tend to use the Billion Dollar Brows Universal Brow Pencil as I prefer a more bold brow and the waxy pencil allows this far easier and is great for blending after.

I apply light strokes using the Universal brow pencil and apply lighter or harder as needed. Although I like a bold brow, I do also prefer the gradient effect at the front of the brows so I tend to use powder at the front of my brow. Try to keep the darker and bolder part of your brow for the middle and end of your brow so your brows don’t end up with a ‘drawn on’ look. Remember, use more product at the end of the brows and less at the front.

Step 5
Grab a Spooley brush and blend the powder and pencil in to your brows by brushing through the brows. The spooley brush I use is the one mentioned above in Step 3, it’s perfect!

Step 6
Touch up any areas you see needed either using the powder and angled brush or brow pencil and voila your brows are…nearly done…
Step 7
This second to last step helps to make your brows look truly flawless!
A technique to completely define your brows and help to make them pop is to either apply a liquid concealer (preferably lighter than your skin shade as this will help to highlight too) around the entire brow or (as I use) use the Billion Dollar Brows Duo Pencil.

Use the Highlighter end of the Billion Dollar Brows Duo Pencil and draw a line under your brow as close as possible and then using the concealer end, draw a line on top of your brow, again, as close as possible. Next, use the Billion Dollar Brows Smudge Brush as pictured below to work as close to the brow line as possible to clean up the lines and then blending the highlighter downward in with rest of your eyelid so the line doesn’t look unnatural and solid.

If you don’t have this amazing product by Billion Dollar Brows, try using a concealer to clean up and highlight your brows.
Step 8
Finish off your beautiful defined brows with a touch of brow gel to help keep your brows on point all day long. I use the Billion Dollar Brows Clear Brow Gel and it never fails me!
